NEET Dress Code 2024 for Male and Female Candidates by NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET notification and information bulletin along with the NEET dress code for 2024. The Exam will be held on 5th May 2024. Candidates must adhere to the NEET 2024 dress code and guidelines on the day of the exam; otherwise, they risk being dissuaded from taking the test. Both a NEET 2024 dress code and a list of items that cannot be brought into the exam room have been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must adhere to the NEET 2024 dress code if they plan to take (take with a grain of salt idiom synonym) the admission exam. Candidates who don’t adhere to the NEET 2024 dress code will be disqualified and unable to sit the test. In addition to the clothing code. NEET Dress Code 2024 by NTA for Male and Female Candidates

The NEET 2024 dress code is broken down into three categories by NTA.

NEET Dress Code for Male Candidates 2024:

NTA has issued the following dress code requirements for male applicants for NEET 2024:

  • The NEET’s dress policy for male applicants states that long or full-sleeve shirts or t-shirts are not permitted.
  • Simple clothing without zips, pockets, big buttons, etc. is preferred.
  • Male candidates can put on easy trousers/pants.
  • Avoid wearing layers of clothing and kurta pyjamas.
  • Boots, shoes, and other covered footwear are not permitted. Candidates are recommended to put on a pair of open-toed sandals or slippers.

NEET Dress Code for Female Candidates 2024:

The following rules for NEET 2024 exam day attire are required for female candidates:

  • Female candidates are recommended to dress in half-sleeved t-shirts, shirts, or kurtas, which is the same advice given to male candidates for the NEET dress code.
  • Clothing with long sleeves or decorative sleeves is not allowed.
  • Simple clothing without elaborate stitching, buttons, frills, etc. is preferred.
  • Jewellery made of metal or not made of metal must be avoided.
  • Closed shoes are not permitted, only slippers, sandals, or low heels.
  • Candidates are recommended to put on open-toed sandals or pyjamas.

NEET Dress Code 2024 Exceptions

Candidates must indicate on the NEET 2024 application form if they would be unable to adhere to the dress code because of their religious convictions. Such applicants were required to tick the “Customary Dress” box on the NEET application form 2024. People who choose to dress traditionally must arrive at least an hour early for proper security and frisking procedures. In these situations, candidates must arrive at the exam site (idiom site) by 12.30 pm to allow enough time (race against time phrase meaning) for adequate security checks to be completed without causing the candidate any trouble and safeguarding the integrity of the exam.

NEET Dress Code 2024: COVID-19 Guidelines

The NEET dress code has undergone a few revisions in recent years with an eye toward candidate safety on exam day, and it is anticipated that the same will be followed for NEET 2024 as well. The following is the suggested attire for the NEET 2024 exam day during COVID:

  1. Each candidate must put on a mask that covers their lips and nose.
  2. They must always have a clear water bottle on them because the water dispensers have been removed as a safety precaution.
  3. On the day of the exam, candidates must have a 50 ml bottle of hand sanitizer with them.
  4. Gloves may be permitted for candidates to wear in the testing facility.
  5. Along with the NEET 2024 admit card and a valid photo ID, candidates must carry the completed and signed Self Declaration (Undertaking) as a required document.

Items not allowed in the NEET 2024 examination room

Along with the lists of the items that a candidate is not permitted to bring on the day of the exam, NTA has also provided the NEET dress code for 2024. Candidates who are caught in charge of any of the things listed below will not be permitted to finish the NEET 2024 exam and will be asked to leave the testing facility.

List of banned items at the NEET 2024 Exam Center:

The following objects are banned from being taken to the NEET 2024 exam location.

  1. Any written or printed test-related materials
  2. Pencil case, pouches, or Geometry case
  3. Mobile phones, smartwatches, cameras, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pagers, microchips, etc. are examples of electronic or communication devices.
  4. Electronic pens, scanners, calculators, etc.
  5. Items for writing on paper, like pens, scales, and erasers.
  6. Bags, belts, hats, sunglasses, wallets, and other accessories.
  7. Any jewellery, including watches, bracelets, bangles, nose pins, necklaces with pendants, and earrings.
  8. Food (packaged or home-cooked unless the applicant has a specific medical condition).

NEET Dress Code 2024 by NTA for Male and Female Candidates

Candidates should be aware that there will be no specific area for storing the prohibited goods at the NEET exam centers. In order to prevent any problem, candidates should either give these items to their parents or guardians or refrain from carrying them.

The former medical entrance exams have been abolished in favour of the NEET entrance test, which is administered for enrollment in the first year of MBBS/BDS and other undergraduate medical programs. As a result, NEET has become India’s most significant and well-liked medical entrance exam.

NEET Dress Code 2024: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. Will candidates with tattoos be allowed to appear for the exam?

Ans. Candidates with involved tattoos won’t be allowed to take the test. Small tattoos or tattoos on parts of the body that are not visible will not prevent a person from taking the test, though. Even though the NEET 2024 dress code makes no mention of tattoos specifically, officials at the exam center may view them negatively.

Q2. Can I wear floral printed clothes on NEET 2024 exam day?

Ans. Candidates are recommended to wear plain clothing in light colours only, and huge prints are not permitted, per the NEET 2024 dress code. Therefore, it will not be granted to take the NEET 2024 exam while wearing floral or any other type of printed fabric.

Q3. Can I wear full sleeves kurta on exam day?

Ans. On the day of the exam, full sleeves are not permitted. Candidates shall dress in short-sleeved attire in accordance with the NEET dress code for 2024. Long sleeves could be interpreted as using unfair tactics. Therefore, candidates should only wear t-shirts or half-sleeve shirts.

Q4. Can I wear a normal wristwatch on NEET 2024 exam day?

Ans. Candidates are specifically prohibited by the NEET 2024 dress code from wearing any type of watch or jewellery at the exam location. If a test-taker wears a wristwatch to the NEET exam centre, they must remove it and give it to the exam centre staff or to their parents or guardians who are going with them.

Q5. Can I wear formal shoes on the NEET 2024 exam day?

Ans. In the NEET dress code 2024, only open-toed shoes, sandals, and chappals are permitted. Candidates are not permitted to wear thick-soled closed shoes or high heels. Additionally, it is prohibited to wear socks while taking the NEET 2024 exam.

Q6. Is it mandatory to choose the customary NEET 2024 dress code option in the application form if I wear my religious attire?

Ans. Candidates filling out the NEET 2024 application form must select the appropriate option if they are wearing a traditional outfit. They will have trouble persuading the officials at the exam centre to let them inside unless they tick this box.

Q7. What will happen if I don’t follow the NEET dress code 2024?
