The JEE Advanced entrance exam for paper 1 starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 12:00, while the paper 2 exam starts at 2:30 PM and ends at 5:30 PM. The concerned authorities have released the reporting time (race against time phrase meaning) for JEE Advanced 2025 in the official brochure PDF. JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Day Instructions: Overview

Candidates need to wear clothes that are light colored, half-sleeved, and loose on the JEE Advanced 2025 exam day. Don’t wear clothes that have large logos, prints, or accessories. Strollers and Shoes are not allowed; Candidates can wear open slippers or sandals. Metallic jewelry and any other metallic accessories are also not allowed. They also need to report on time along with their admit card and a valid photo ID, as well as be ready for proper frisking.

JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Day Guidelines to follow on Exam Day

  1. Obey the Invigilator’s Instructions: Listen carefully to everything the invigilator tells you. These instructions are there to guide you and help keep the exam peaceful and fair.
  2. Cooperate During Verification: Be patient and polite when your ID and documents are being checked. Not cooperating could lead to disqualification. Your identity will be checked by both invigilators and IIT officials.
  3. Login Procedure
  • Once the candidate sits on the system, they will see their name, photo, and their JEE Advanced 2025 roll number on the desktop.
  • Candidates need to verify that all details are correct.
  • Candidates can log in 20 minutes before the exam starts.
  • Candidates need to use their JEE Advanced 2025 Roll Number for logging in as their Login ID and DOB as the Password.
  • Take your time and stay calm while logging in.

  4. Stay in the Exam Hall: Candidates are not permitted to leave the exam hall before the exam ends. For Paper 1, stay until 12:00 PM; for Paper 2, stay until 5:00 PM. Even if you finish early, stay seated and don’t make noise.
  5. Both Papers Need to Be Attended: It’s compulsory to take (take with a grain of salt idiom synonym) both Paper 1 and Paper 2. If you skip one paper, you will be marked absent, and your answers won’t be checked.
