JEE Main 2023 Admit Card: Important Things To Keep In Mind

  1. JEE applicants have to download the JEE Main admit card from the official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ once the admit card is released.
  2. Applicants must read all the information carefully mentioned on the JEE Main admit card. If there is an error in the admit card, immediately contact the NTA for changes.
  3. Applicants must carry JEE Main admit card and their photo ID along with them during exam day. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
  4. The admit card will contain details of the exam date, exam shift and exam center. There will be two shifts in which every candidate has to appear; hence, make sure to check the exam time (race against time phrase meaning) and shift carefully.

How to Download the JEE Main Admit Card 2023?

It is to be noted that only e-admit cards are available, which means there is no authority responsible to send the admit card to an individual. Moreover, candidates should ensure to bring admit cards with them. If anyone forgets to bring their admit card along, then they will be forbidden to enter the exam centre.

  1. Visit the JEE Main official website.
  2. Click on: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
  3. Candidates will find a link to “Download Admit Card” for JEE Main 2023.
  4. To sign in, enter your login credentials, i.e., Application Number and Date of Birth/Password.
  5. Click on “Sign in”, and your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Click on the Download option and take (take with a grain of salt idiom synonym) 2-3 printouts for future use.

JEE Main Admit Card 2023- Items to Carry at Exam Centre

After knowing how to download JEE Main admit card, the next important thing is to know what items you are allowed to bring. These items are:

  1. Self-declared admit card- Candidates have to bring the self-declared admit card when coming to give the JEE Main 2023 exam.
  2. Ballpoint pen- Bring your pen having a transparent body to the examination centre as it will not be provided there.
  3. Sanitizer- Candidates are allowed to carry a 50 ml sanitizer bottle.
  4. Transparent Water bottle- Students can bring a transparent bottle along with them.
  5. Passport-size photograph- Students must bring their 1 passport-size photograph to attach the same in the attendance sheet.
  6. Bring sugar supplements: Diabetic students are allowed to bring sugar tablets or fruits like a banana, apple, or orange with them.
  7. ID Proof: It is mandatory for students to bring a valid, non-expired and authorized ID proof. Bring any one of these:
  • Aadhar card
  • Voter ID
  • Driving Licence
  • Passport
  • Pan Card
  • Ration Card, etc.

JEE Main Admit Card- Items Prohibited in the Examination Hall

In the JEE Main Admit Card it is clearly mentioned not to bring the following items:

  1. Stationery items such as pencil, geometry box, plain or printed paper.
  2. Handbag/purse/wallet clutches are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
  3. Food or beverages (packed or loose).
  4. Electronic gadgets such as a mobile phone, calculator, earphone, microphone, electronic watches, pager, etc.
  5. Instruments like a tape recorder, camera, slide ruler, DocuPen, log tables, etc.

Note: B. Arch candidates are allowed to carry a geometry box, eraser, colour pencils, pencils with them. No need to bring watercolours.

Guidelines Mentioned in the JEE Main Admit Card 2023 for the Exam Day

There are a few guidelines mentioned by the NTA in the JEE Main admit card 2023, which every candidate has to follow. These are:

  1. No other item will be allowed to take inside the examination hall except the one mentioned on the admit card.
  2. Students will be provided with blank paper sheets for rough work.
  3. Reach before to avoid the last-minute rush. Make sure you check the reporting time and gate closing time properly and reach the centre on time. Once the exam starts, no one will be allowed to enter the hall.
  4. Write your name and roll number on top of your rough sheet.
  5.  Submit your rough sheet and admit card to the invigilator before leaving the room.
  6. Only diabetic students can bring sugar tablets and fruits to the exam. However, no packed edible items are allowed.
  7. Make sure you sit in your allocated seats.
  8. No one will be allowed to leave the room before the exam is over.
  9. Students must bring the required documents, including admit card, ID proof and PwD certificate if claiming for relaxation.
  10. The demand for centre change will not be entertained.
