NEET PG counselling schedule 2021: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has released the counseling schedule for candidates who have cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to postgraduate courses. Candidates who cleared the exam and wish to apply for admission will have to first register at the official website, mcc.nic.in.

The application process will begin from August 20 and end on August 24, by 11:55 p.m. Based on their preference, candidates will have to submit a choice list.

The window to do so will be available from 21st August to 22nd August.

The seat allocation process will be held on 25th and 26th August and the counseling result will be announced on 27th August.

Those who want admission to the allotted institute will have to be present in the college from 28th August till 1st September.

Candidates will have to undergo document verification and submit the fee. Failing to do so, one will allow their seat to be open for the next round.

The registrations for the second round will be held from 6th to 9th September 2021.

Their reporting time (race against time phrase meaning) is September 14 to 18. If any seats are left vacant, a mop-up round will be held.

For the Mop-up round, a seat matrix will be displayed first on September 18, and registrations for the same will be held from September 24 to September 27, 12 noon

The NTA had earlier set 6 August as the deadline for NEET-UG applications, which was later extended to 10 August as per the requests of students

The NEET-UG examination will be conducted offline on 12 September this year in 13 languages. The paper will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Odia, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, and Urdu. It will have180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Physics, Biology (Botany and Zoology), and Chemistry. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must have scored at least 50 percent in Class 12 results with English, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

The scores of the exam will also be used for the BSc (H) Nursing course.

The examination will be held across 198 cities, in order to follow social distancing norms. The total number of exam centres will also be increased from 3,862 centres in 2020. For the first time, the NEET-UG exam will be conducted in Kuwait and Dubai this year.
