CBSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2026
In order to assess the students in a better way, the complete CBSE class 10th exam pattern for the session 2025-26 is given below.
Starting from the academic year 2026, CBSE will hold the Class 10 board exams twice a year. The first exam will be compulsory for all students, while the second exam will be optional and mainly for those who want to improve their marks or who could not clear certain subjects. Both exams will be based on the full syllabus, and students will be allowed to improve their performance in up to three subjects during the second exam. The first phase is expected to be held around February–March, and the second phase around May.
For the CBSE class 10 board exam question paper, 20% weightage is given to multiple choice questions, 50% weightage to competency-based questions, and 30% wastage for subjective type questions.
