The CBSE board exam fees 2026-27 <\/strong>have been updated and all the students from Class 9 to 12 must know the exact figures prior to the opening of the LOC window. The LOC submission for 2026-27 is expected from August 2026 onwards. Let’s get the short answer out of the way. The CBSE exam fee for Classes 10th and 12th<\/strong> is \u20b91600 for up to 5 subjects and \u20b9320 per subject thereafter for Indian students.<\/p>\n

In Nepal, students have to pay \u20b95,000 for 5 subjects, and in CBSE-affiliated schools outside India, students have to pay \u20b911,000. In June 2025, CBSE announced a revision of the exam fee structure, which is the first increase in the last six years. This rise is 7-10% for students in India and 10% for students in Nepal and other countries. CBSE says this is because of escalating costs of digital evaluation, logistics and printing. CBSE Class 10 Board Exam Fee 2027<\/h2>\n

Schools in India will have to pay a fee of \u20b91,600 for 5 or fewer subjects for the CBSE Class 10 board exam<\/strong><\/a>. With the introduction of NEP 2020, CBSE has introduced the facility of holding Class 10 exams twice a year. They have one exam in February and a second (optional) exam in May.<\/p>\n

CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Fee 2027<\/h2>\n

For Indian Students, the CBSE Class 12 Exam fee<\/strong> is the same as Class 10, which is \u20b91,600 for 5 subjects. However, there is one difference with CBSE Class 12<\/a><\/strong>: students have to pay a practical exam fee of \u20b9160 per practical subject<\/strong>. The practical fee applies to subjects such as Geography, Computer Science, Physical Education, etc. The fee for Class 12 will be collected only once, unlike Class 10.<\/p>\n

CBSE Registration Fee 2027 for Classes 9th and 11th<\/h2>\n

The Class 9 and Class 11 students are not charged any exam fee; they are charged a registration fee. It is a single payment that registers them with CBSE and enables them to appear for class 10 and class 12 board exams.<\/p>\n

CBSE had introduced APAAR ID for all the students of this level from 2026 onwards. The school has to connect the APAAR ID of every student prior to the submission of the registration information. The payment process is school-driven for regular students. Private candidates compartment, improvement, or essential repeat pay directly on cbse.gov.in<\/a>. Here is how both processes work:<\/p>\n
