Why Was NEET UG 2026 Cancelled? What Is Re-NEET 2026?

NEET UG 2026 was originally held on May 3, 2026. But within days serious irregularities emerged. The Rajasthan Police SOG seized a “guess paper” of 140 questions that had a match with the actual question papers and investigations found that the questions were allegedly leaked as early as April 27, 2026, almost a week before the test.

Following a CBI investigation and government review, NTA officially cancelled the exam on May 12, 2026. The Re-NEET UG 2026 was then announced with a fresh exam date of June 21, 2026.
