NEET Previous Year Question Papers with Solutions PDF (2019–2025)
The NEET Exam serves as a medium for admission in courses like MBBS, BDS, etc. Every year, around 22 lakh students appear for the exam. Out of them, approximately 12 lakh students qualify for the exam. The gap between these two figures not just indicate how many hours a student studied, but also indicates how well these students knew what was expected in the exam.
And this is where NEET Previous year question papers come into consideration. These papers are not for general practice, but they are based on the real exam format and difficulty level as asked by NTA. When students practice them well, the questions in the exam stop feeling unfamiliar.
On this page, Motion Education has provided NEET PYQ PDFs from 2019 to 2025, with detailed solutions. Students can download these NEET Question Papers with Solutions for free. Solving the NEET 2019 Question Paper will assist you in keeping track of the development of the NTA approach over the years.
What is The Right Way to Use the NEET Question Paper with Solutions?
The majority of students solve a NEET PYQ, answer questions, and proceed. This is not what to do with them and it is one of the primary reasons why the scores do not increase despite solving 10 papers. The following actually works:
Build a Question-Type Map Before You Begin
You must read 2-3 NEET previous year papers before you undertake a full paper as a practice test do not solve, just read. You will begin to see the patterns of NTA: Biology questions that directly quote NCERT examples, Physics questions that are constructed around two concepts together, and Chemistry questions whose distractor choices consist of NCERT lines out of context. When you are able to consciously notice these patterns, you start solving in a strategic way and not by instinct.
Use the Error Log Method - Not Just 'Review Wrong Answers'
Once you have finished with each paper, place all wrong answers into one of three categories: (1) I was completely unfamiliar with this concept, (2) I was familiar with it, but I read the question incorrectly, (3) I was in a hurry and guessed. Each bucket needs a different fix. Bucket 1 indicates a return to NCERT. Bucket 2 implies slowing down your reading. Bucket 3 implies that your attempt order must change. The majority of students consider all wrong answers equally, and this implies that they do not correct all of them.
The Second Attempt Rule - Most Toppers Follow This
After 2-3 weeks of solving the question paper, re-attempt the questions in which you went wrong, without seeking into solutions. If you attempted them correctly this time, it means your concept related to the question is now clear. But if the question is still wrong, then you need to focus on revision more. This is a far more honest test of learning than simply reading the solution once and assuming you got it.
Track Your Marks Trend - Not Just Your Score
Keep a plain sheet with the date of attempt, Biology Marks, Physics Marks, Chemistry Marks, total and negative marks. Update it after every NEET PYQ. You will notice a trend within 4–5 papers. Perhaps you never fail to get 100+ in Chemistry, but you can hardly ever get 80 in Physics. That will give you the idea of where your next hour of study needs to go.
What NEET Previous Year Papers Reveal About Each Subject
Attempting NEET Previous year question papers will provide data that no study material can tell you directly. The papers tell us the following:
- Biology (360 marks): 80 per cent or more of questions in all years are based on exact NCERT lines, diagrams or examples. The most consistent chapters are Genetics, Ecology, and Human Physiology. In case a diagram was included in the NCERT, chances are high that NTA has already asked a question on it.
- Physics (180 marks): Students can expect 5-8 numerical questions in the exam every year. High-weightage chapters include Mechanics, Electrostatics, and Optics. NEET Previous year question papers reflect that NTA repeats the same type of numerical questions with different values. Once you practice that, then another question of the same pattern feels like just a calculation.
- Chemistry (180 marks): All questions in Inorganic Chemistry since 2021 are almost wholly NCERT-based. Organic Chemistry requires more application. Physical Chemistry numericals are subject to predictable formulas. Solving NEET previous year question Papers allow you to divide the time spent on preparation between these 3 branches using real data and not assumptions.
How Many NEET PYQs Should You Solve for NEET 2026?
Complete at least last 10 years of NEET full-length Question Papers. That is the whole NTA period, the most applicable one to NEET 2026. When you can go further back to 2015 or earlier AIPMT papers, this will provide you with additional exposure to the question bank, which is particularly beneficial in Biology.
A single well-analysed paper can be worth more than three hastily attempted papers. If you are short on time before NEET 2026 (May 3), prioritise NEET 2025, 2024, and 2023 first, as they are the closest to what NTA will set next.
Wrapping Up - Make PYQs a Feedback Tool, Not Just Practice
Solving NEET UG Previous Year Papers without examining them is similar to taking an exam and never checking the final results. The point is not the paper; what you learn about your preparation in each paper is the point.
Students must download the NEET question paper with solutions given above and while solving them they should use the error log method and second-attempt method as given above. It is the combination of real papers, honest scoring, and targeted revision that consistent NEET toppers actually practice.

FAQs on NEET Previous Year Question Papers
Precise repetition is uncommon, but repetition of concepts is widespread. NTA revises the identical chapters and rewrites questions based on the same core idea. Students who have already answered 6-7 years of PYQs claim that on exam day, many questions feel familiar, although not the same, but familiar enough to go at them with confidence.
NEET 2025 is regarded as the most difficult among recent papers conducted by NTA, especially due to Physics. NEET 2016 and NEET 2018 are historically the hardest papers among the older papers. Solving them provides a good stress test of your level of preparation.
NEET previous year papers PDFs are not enough; however, they cannot be compromised. NCERT should be your foundation, in particular, Biology and Inorganic Chemistry. When that is established, the most efficient thing you can do is to practice PYQ constantly. Consider NCERT to be the raw material, and PYQs to be the training ground.
Begin NEET chapter-wise PYQ immediately after finishing a particular chapter; do not wait till you complete the entire syllabus. The full paper will only be good at a time when you have already covered at least 60 to 70% NEET syllabus. With NEET 2026, assuming you begin full papers by January 2026, you will have sufficient time to complete 8-10 full papers with full analysis before the exam.
