If you appeared for NEET UG on May 3, 2026, you already know what happened: the exam got cancelled due to a paper leak. It was stressful and, honestly, unfair to lakhs of students who had prepared so hard. But now NTA has officially announced the Re-NEET 2026 date, and things are finally moving forward. Here is everything you need to know, straight to the point.
Re-NEET 2026 Exam Date Confirmed
NTA has announced June 21, 2026 (Sunday) as the official Re-NEET UG exam date. The exam will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper, OMR-based) mode, same as always. No CBT this time, that shift is planned from 2027 onwards.
Exam Timing Has Changed – Note This
This is important. The exam timing is no longer the old slot. The Re-NEET 2026 exam will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM IST. That is 3 hours and 15 minutes. Gates will close at 1:30 PM, so make sure you reach the centre well before that, as entry starts at 11:00 AM.

NTA is expected to release the Re-NEET 2026 admit card by June 14, 2026 — about a week before the exam. Before that, the city intimation slip will come out, so you know which city your centre is in. Keep checking the official NTA portal and download it using your application number and password.
Re-NEET 2026 City Choice Window:
The authority has decided to open a city preference window for the Re-NEET 2026 exam to make the process easier for candidates. Students will be given about one week to choose or update their preferred exam city. They should carefully submit their choices within the given time (race against time phrase meaning) to avoid any issues on the exam day.
One Last Thing
We know this whole situation has been mentally exhausting. But you still have over a month to revise and go in fresh. Use this time well. Keep an eye on the NTA official website (idioms website) for the admit card and any last-minute updates. You got this.
