Placements through Top IIIT colleges in India

One of the greatest benefits of studying at IIITs is the strong placement opportunities after studying in colleges in India, where a majority of students get placements. The Placements at the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) are held twice a year. The first is in the month of December from the start of the month to the last, and the second round is from the first week of January to the end of the academic year. The IIIT placement unit closely works with students, conducting skill development programs, interview training, and workshops, so they’re all set for the recruitment drives.

Reputed firms, namely Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Deloitte, KPMG, HCL, Wipro, IBM, Accenture, TCS, and several others, participate in placements in top IIIT colleges in India.

IIIT Placement Process

Here’s how the placement process takes place at IIITs:

  • The placement office of IIITs provides invitations to reputed companies/organisations along with relevant details of the job description.
  • For context, the recruiters fill out a Job Announcement Form (JAF) that has job details like salary package, job location, perks, and preferred dates of campus visits.
  • These filled JAFs are sent to the placement cells of the respective IIIT for further action.
  • The date of campus visit (idioms dictionary) is then assigned by placement teams as per the convenience and preference of the recruiter, once the same is confirmed.
  • On the specified day(s), companies visit the IIIT campus to take (take with a grain of salt idiom synonym) interviews, presentations (PPTs), written tests, or any test based on their hiring process.
  • The recruiters have to communicate the final list of selected students on the day of their campus drive.
  • The company hands a signed hard copy of the final selected list of students to the placement cell.
  • All the offers made in this placement process are formally managed by the IIIT Placement Cell.
  • Placement employers should send offer letters only to the placement office, not to students.
